THE NEXT MOVE OF GOD!

Dear partners and friends,

Let me begin by apologizing for not being able to be consistent on the blog front. My schedules sometimes drain me off & leaves me with very little time and space to write.

Blogging has been an amazing method to share with you my dear friends all that’s burning in my heart. Only one confession: - Most of the times procrastination has been my weakness. But this, what I am going to be share, could not be held down anymore, I was walking on the road when God spoke this word into my heart and I had tears flowing and my whole body shaking right on the street. I had NO CHOICE; I had to take time off to write to you.

Once you’ve read this, I want you to help me shout this word on the roof tops, spread it everywhere and to everyone who loves the Lord and the little children. Because I believe we are in a season where God is using little children. I have never seen God touch so many children like I have seen in the last two months. I believe we are in the end time and the promise that we have in the scriptures is that God would pour out his Spirit on all flesh!

Let me share my personal testimony, few months ago I was ministering at our Children’s Church here in Bangalore. To say the least it was just miserable as I failed to get the attention of these 150 kids who were shouting and screaming on top of their voices. I tried every technique including screaming my lungs out to get their attention. And yes as you can rightly guess- Everything failed! Before I knew it I had my eyes closed and began to pray for the Holy Spirit to take over. Suddenly the kids became calm, silence filled the room and they began praying with me. I started singing a simple lullaby to the Holy Spirit, singing my own tune of how we love our Jesus Dada!  Kids caught up with me. Within no time the presence of God had filled the whole room and some kids started weeping. The little children started praying. One of the most touching scenes that I will never forget was when the youngest of  the kids group, who were around 3- 4 years old, standing right in the front had gone down on their knees and I could hear them softly moan and kept repeating JESUS. And before I knew it, the whole lot of 150+ kids were weeping aloud and crying out one word in one voice “JESUS”. It was completely God; teachers had tears in their eyes. I backed out to the corner of the room completely consciousness of the tangible presence that had come to visit these little children. The kids Church was suppose to finish by 10.30 but when I checked, it was already 12 and the parents were queuing outside to see why their children had not got out, All they did there was pray! One parent reported how their child got home and started prophesying what God wanted them to do that week.

Three weeks ago, God blessed me with an opportunity to serve the on-going revival in Dubai which has now crossed 300 days. I saw people hungry for God and His presence, meeting everyday to pray in a hotel. In the 2 weeks that I was there I witnessed kids standing in the front rows awake till 1am & sometimes even 2am crying and praying with the adults. One parent told me how they would be exhausted sometimes to come but their child would pursue them to come to seek God.

A week ago, back home while ministering in one of our fasting prayer sessions, the power of God hit the room and the kids were the first ones to catch the fire. We had a dozen and more kids on the floor praising and weeping uncontrollably. No one understood what exactly was happening to them but we stood silently in awe of what God was doing. My Pastor’s grandchild who is 9years old is a very shy kid. But while I prayed for him, he told me that he felt a hand go through and through his body and it remained there, well I told him “Why don’t you close your eyes and continue to pray?” And as I continued ministering with my eyes closed I felt a tug and my mike was pulled out of my hand and it was this child. I didn’t stop him because I knew him from when he was born and if he had to be so bold as to pull the mike out of my hands it had to be God. Well what happened was just amazing: this shy boy started prophesying to the Church with accurate details. During that time he said things that was already in my heart but had I shared it, it would not have had that impact because people would think that it’s just Shyju being excited about GOD, but when this child got up and said that God wants His church to pray like never before as God is taking us to a promised land - the Church was dumbfounded and to make things more exciting, the fear of God filled the room and people prayed like never before.

The service that started at 10 in the morning ended at 5 in the evening. The children started prophesying all over the place, even children as young as 5years. There was this little girl who would point out her fingers to where people were standing out and prophesy accurate things all the while with her eyes tightly closed. The same outpouring was repeated in every meeting and sometimes children were down under the power of God late into the nights during these meetings.

I remember telling the people; “You might not believe when I say it, that’s why God has chosen these little ones to dumbfound you” This is true! I believe God is pouring out His fresh wind on the little children and raising them as HIS ARMY through out the world. It was not a surprise at all therefore when I heard two men of God who spoke to me from two different part of the worlds mention that they see little children in the front row of all the revivals & that they would be the first to receive the touch from God.

It is important that the church knows & understand the times and the seasons. If we do not understand the times we will miss out on what God is doing with us. I now encourage you to give special care and attention to your little children at home, church and everywhere. You may never know, God can use you to release an outpouring over them. Teach them little things of how much Jesus loves them and how God can use them if they pray, leave the rest into the hands of God.

I am praying that God will release an anointing on you as you read this that you might lay hands on kids and there be a strong hunger for God as never known & that they  even prophesy over the nations!

What do you think is the reason why God chooses these little children to pour out His anointing and use them for His glory and ministry? It is very simple: - we live in a time where we are hard pressed to see true innocence and purity like in these children. I now remember what God said, unless you become like these little children we will not enter the Kingdom of God.

Let him who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church, God is going to send the end time revival very soon and He is using these little children to confound the wise.

1 Corinthians 1:26 (New American Standard Bible)

 26For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;

So right now agree with me as I pray this prayer for you and the little children God will allow you to minister to.

Dear Father in Heaven let they Kingdom come. As it is in heaven let it be on earth, as I pray, anoint this dear reader for a unexpected outpouring of your anointing that will transform their life of faith and let a transfer of your Glory happen as they get in contact with the little children and even teenagers and youth, let the glory of God fill them and let us begin to see the end time move of God! We give you the glory in advance for the great testimonies that will break out in our schools, houses and church! In Jesus name we pray, AMEN!

Dont forget to write your testimonies and respond to this blog,

Blessings,

Shyju

A Word to fellow Filipino brethren in Dubai.

Dear Brethren in GCC,

It is my joy to write to you. I believe this mail finds you in the joy of the Holy Spirit. I now almost feel like Apostle Paul writing letters to the Fillipino Church in Dubai. When I was with you few weeks ago, you flooded me with love, joy and blessings. I pray that the God whom we serve bless all your ways and givings. Do not cease to be givers for that is more blessed.
After the service in Ramada hotel, I came back to Bangalore where our Church is conducting a 21day fasting prayer. During the second week my Pastor asked me to preach in a session. We saw the glory of God hit just like how it happened in Ramada. This time with a difference, we saw the power of God fall on the little Children and they started prophesying. Ever since that has become common. Last night after the crowds left, there was still more than 150 people worshiping God at one in the morning. And in one corner I saw children casting out demons and another corner children prophesying, it reminded me of my childhood days. But yes, God is pouring out his Spirit on all flesh.
Do not look down on little Children. Jesus never look down on little Children. Jesus in fact took time with them and choose to bless them. I was blessed by Pastor Bobby (GCC) when he emailed me about how he encourages his little daughter. Yes it was the similar encouragement from my mother that brought me into this ministry.
Last night a scene caught my attention, while the whole Church was moving like in the days of the Apostles at one in the morning, there was the little girl who was closing her eyes tightly shut yet pointing her little finger at people, seeing them in the Spirit and prophesying words of God into their life. My mother rushed to me and told me how accurate her prophecies have been. But my question to my mom was different. I asked my mom, ‘who is the mother of the Child?’ After looking around my mom pointed out to a lady behind the pillar. When I looked I was not amazed to see a small women, her eyes tightly shut, interceding for her daughter with tears. Yep! That was and is and will be the key to the next generation ministers! I encourage every parent that you will go on your knees and ask God to use your child right from the little age. Because God wants to use the innocence for His glory!
God is in the business of using holy vessels for His glory. Jesus was born in a manager that was never used before. Jesus used a donkey that was never ridden before. Jesus hung on a cross that was never used before. Jesus was laid in a tomb that was never used before. Even today Jesus wants to use us 100% in all sanctity for a greater glory. If you will surrender today, right now, this moment GOD can cleanse you as a new born. Therefore let us submit our life to God in our youth.
Don’t burn for the world, burn for Jesus. Use every talent, every energy, every passion and every minute for the glory of Jesus. At the end of the age, it will all be worth a while.
There are barely days when I do not remember you brethren. It is my wish and prayer that you will grow in the Lord and that souls will be added to the Church everyday. You’re beautiful faces, lovely smiles and passionate dancing to the Lord keeps inspiring me. I am waiting to see you in November lets bring the City down for Jesus. Do your best and leave the rest to Jesus.
Your Indian Brother,
Shyju

Red Hot Temptation!

The good news is that, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it..” 1 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV)
James 1:  12Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried,he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man:
14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15Then when lust hath conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.
16Do not err, my beloved brethren.

Vs 13 say, God does not tempt anyone! But each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.
In other words, don’t be a Christian who, every time encounters a bad situation will either blame it on God or the devil. James is trying to say that there is some evil in us that manifests from our fleshly nature. That is the reason why you don’t need to teach kids to lie or steal. It’s in them. According to the book of James, the source or the genesis of temptation is evil desire! If we can tackle the root cause with the help of the Holy Spirit then we are getting closer to our victory! Nip it off the Bud!
So then how is a desire formed? A desire is formed through our senses. If I was blind and had never seen the color red, how could I desire for the color red? If I was a deaf man who had never heard a single note before would it be possible that I desire to listen to music? What we feed our mind through our senses is what causes us to desire for the same.
So then our first step out of any temptation is to guard our senses. If there is something that you are struggling with, (smoking, pornography, a bad tongue, alcoholism, video games, a physical/emotional relationship outside the will of GOD) make a check list on what are the sources to that sin that you have access to –
Can it be bad company? Too much TV, wrong books, being in the wrong social set up? Find it, and shut it down without mercy! Notice verse 14 talks about evil desire first dragging away and then enticed. The word “dragging away” to me seems like a process.

Humanly it’s impossible not to face challenges when on earth, but from the point of initial contact with the temptation if you allow that to linger then before you know the temptation has caught you by the collar and dragging you into its pit!
The Bible says: Resist temptation and FLEE from evil. Do you FLEE or just hang around temptation?

Step two: Acknowledge that this is one of your temptations and confess it quickly and continuously. Don’t allow guilt to question your relationship with God. Remember that as long as we are on this earth we are going to face continuous battles against this flesh. Therefore it is important that you on a daily basis wash yourself with the blood of Jesus.

If you are asking, Shyju, wont God get tired forgiving me? NOPE! This is the greatest lie of the enemy, don’t let him fool you into thinking God is finally frustrated of FORGIVING YOU. Get up and keep running till you don’t fall anymore. When God sees that you do not take His grace for granted and that you are earnestly seeking His help then God will help you and rescue you!

Step three: battle it in the Spirit. Most of the times the temptation is brought by a evil spirit. That does not mean that you can blame the devil and do nothing about it like mentioned earlier. Even Jesus prayed, lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil! This is clear direction from the Spirit that every believer must put on the spiritual armor and engage in spiritual battle against those areas of your weakness.  The spiritual battle includes not just prayer but by confession of the word of God and your status in Christ which the devil hates to hear!

Vs. 15 talks about a formation period. Desire conceives Sin. Now if a desire is formed in the mind and lingers long enough it then becomes a disease of the heart. Before you know it you are bound to it. It starts off as a flash of thought & then if you allow it to linger it’ll argues over the consciousness or the conviction placed by the Spirit.

Many a times we allow ourselves to debate with sin. Mostly the wicked one that visited our great grand mother Eve comes to us trying to tell us about how this is a small risk or that it is not going to hurt anybody. But like I usually say, we are not called to debate with sin, we are warned to flee from sin. But for those of us who try debating with sin we mostly end up giving birth to sin! And now when sin stays it gives birth to death!

What we must do at the face of temptation is use the free will given by God to us.
Many of us Christians are today basing our decisions on our emotions/feelings. If it doesn’t feel right/good, it aint right! Right? WRONG!!!
Remember (and this is a very important point) don’t make decisions based on your feelings. Rather we must make a decision to surrender in the presence of the Holy Spirit by seeing the joy to come through the eyes of Faith!!! Make a decision basing it on the Word & instructions of GOD. Yes it may be painful, it may mean giving up but you will at least have the assurance that you will not loose your soul.
Let me simplify this for you: for those of us grappling with this point: Let’s say you are beginning to fall in love with somebody. (That’s not wrong in itself) But that somebody is not single but married with family and kids. Do you still go ahead? Your heart says “YES! YES! YES but the word of God says NO! So what do you do? Resist! FLEE! Don’t hang around! When your mind starts thinking about that person- Say STOP! In Jesus Name I take every thought captive and submit it to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

My dear friend if you are finding yourself trapped in a situation like this, seek all the help you can from spiritually mature leaders/elders in your church. We have matured leaders in our ministry who can help you with advice if you are ready to open up. Break free. Save your soul. The devil will time and again come to steal, kill and destroy. Let’s be smarter than the enemy. Refuse his lie, there is a way out. CONFESS your sins, set yourself free and surround yourself with prayer and strong Bible based believers.

Do not be deceived my dear friends. May God bless you to make the right decision and not be moved by feelings. Guard your heart with prayer and the word. After you read I’d love to read your response about these blogs! Hoping and praying this helps and strengthens you.
Sincere love& earnest prayers for this generation,
Shyju

P.S – if you are struggling in any area where you need counsel or advice write to mail@shyjumathew.com about your situation with the subject line - “Saying NO TO SIN” and one of our leaders will get in touch with you.

The power of unanswered prayers !

 Hey Friends,

I want you to take time to read this which has blessed my heart in profound ways. This was written by my dear friend Merilyn Mohn, who is the daughter of Pastor D.Mohan who pastors the fast growing mega church in Chennai.Don’t miss it, you might just receive the answer to why you don’t receive answers to your prayers,It’s powerful! Leave your comment on it and bless Merilyn as she continues to be a young warrior for Christ..

THE POWER OF UNANSWERED PRAYER

Scripture Portion Mark 14:32 – 42
We all pray and when we pray we believe with all our heart that we will receive an answer. Many a times we wonder if we are praying correctly, is there something missing in my prayer? Is there a better way to pray?
Let us learn certain things from one of the most powerful prayers in the Bible.
It was just a four-phrase prayer yet it is one of the most profound prayers that changed the course of Humanity

Mark 14:36 Abba Father Everything is possible for you; take this cup away from me; yet not what I will but yours be done

Abba father:

 - It was a prayer of belongingness. It shows the perfect relationship Jesus had with the father. We cannot call everyone father it is only one person that we can call that way. A relationship is so vital in prayer.
-         It shows the confidence that came through purity in the life of Jesus that enabled Him to call God the Abba Father
-         It also shows the love that existed between them. These are ways to start a perfect prayer.
When I child comes to a father and calls Him Daddy and the child has been so pleasing to the Father and asks for something how will we ever refuse the child. All the requests will be granted because of the relationship, the love, the purity.

Everything is possible for you:

-         A prayer of Faith
-         A prayer of Worship that God is omnipotent.
-         A prayer declaring the Sovereignty of the Almighty

When someone says to us I know you are capable of doing this thing well. Even if we are unable to we will make sure we do it well only because of the compliment and encouragement we received

Take this cup away from me:

-         It was a prayer of truth and reality. Jesus was not faking. He was asking God Lord is there any other way this salvation plan can be worked out. I don’t want to go through the cross is what He really was saying. He knew the pain He will go through. His body was breaking out in sweat of blood and saying God everything is possible for you, even in this 11th hour you can work it out differently. He was admitting His weakness and inability to carry out the task. Many times we don’t tell the truth to God in prayer we talk to Him as though we can do it all and we are the one who can help God accomplish His plan and dream.
-         It was a prayer of humility. Jesus humbled himself to the father and told God his weakness. He was seeking for help. This is how God wants us to pray. He wants us to be real, so that he can help us. He does not want long flowery prayers but real and simple prayers is what can move the heart of the Almighty

Yet not what I will but your will be done
-         It was a prayer of surrender. It shows that Jesus knew that what God has for His life is the best. He gave up His will for the will of the Father.

Jesus kept on praying. He prayed three times. He was persistent with His prayer knowing that a loving Father would listen to His prayer of anguish

IS THERE A BETTER WAY TO PRAY?

I don’t think so, purity, love, a perfect relationship, worship, faith, declaration of Sovereignty, reality, humility, surrender….. God should have granted the request. Said yes right away. OK MY SON I WILL TAKE THIS CUP AWAY FROM YOU
I WILL CHANGE MY SALVATION PLAN.COME BACK HOME

No that was not the case. The most perfect prayer was left unanswered. Indirectly when the answer was not coming. Jesus knew that God was saying NO I WILL NOT TAKE THIS CUP AWAY FROM YOU.
The prayer of Jesus was always answered and heard by God and it was always a yes from God every time He prayed John 11: 42. But this time it is different his prayer was not answered

His persistent, most perfect prayer went unanswered…
Are you wondering in your life why is my prayer not answered, what ingredient in my prayer is not right, have I prayed long enough? What is wrong with my prayer? Why is God not taking this cup of bitterness away from me, why is he not removing this problem from my life? May be God has answered your prayer by saying a big NO.

I want you to see the benefits of the unanswered prayer of Jesus to encourage you to keep coming to the presence of God even when your prayer is unanswered. Seeing the benefits you will be encouraged to continue your walk with your maker.

-         Jesus was able to understand the weaknesses of others and the pain you go through when your prayer is unanswered. When Jesus came and saw the disciples sleeping. He said I know your spirit is willing but your body is weak. Jesus was experiencing the same thing. His spirit was willing to obey the father but His body was not willing. Every time you make a mistake it is this prayer that keeps giving you the grace. He understand, He knows how you feel. Perhaps that is why Jesus is at the right hand of the father interceding on your behalf. Unanswered prayers enable you to understand others who are in the same need and pray for them more, with a spirit of intercession to see their lives blessed
-         Through this unanswered prayer he teaches on of the most significant secret to overcome temptation of Going against the will of God. He says if you don’t want to fall into temptation pray at least one hour. To be used of God like Benny Hinn or others may require long hours of praying as it is not only about them but for others blessing. But personally if you want to overcome life’s temptation you need to talk to God and spend time with Him at least for one hour. May be your unanswered prayer may teach you some of the most significant secrets and gives you the keys to life’s most stubborn doors.

-         The last but not the least benefit of His unanswered prayer is that you and I are saved, thousands of years later. Because God did not answer the prayer of Jesus. We have received eternal life, salvation, hope, healing, and deliverance even after many years. Today Jesus is seated at the right hand of the father and His name is above every other name. All because His prayer was unanswered. Think about it may be your prayer that is unanswered has a lot of benefits that you do not see today a blessing to millions that you do not comprehend now. If only Jesus had finished His prayer with out the last line. If Jesus had stopped his prayer saying father take this cup away from me and left out the part where he said yet not what I will but yours be done.. I wonder what God would have done. God takes everyword that comes from our mouth so seriously. He siences all of heaven to give attention to each and every word. So allow God to work through your prayers. May our prayers allow God to work in our lives. Because He sees the bigger picture everytime say Lord let not my will be done but yours be done. Show Him that you love Him and you trust Him..

In conclusion we know that the loving God did answer, little differently. The answer was an angel that He sent to strengthen Jesus to take the cup (Luke 22:43). May we stop worrying about the prayers that have been unanswered and ask God to send an angel our way to keep on in this journey of life and trust Him.
Never let an unanswered prayer stop you from going to God and walking in His presence. Satan might tell you that God does not love you, even though you have done everything right God is not on your side. Tell the devil that God knows the best. His plans are higher than our plans, and His ways are much higher than our ways.
Think about the heart of the father. He had to refuse His only son Jesus just that you and I can be saved, healed and be happy. He was thinking about you when he refused Jesus. So great is His love for you.
Thank God for the unanswered prayers in your life. So fall into the hands of Jesus for He knows the bigger and the better picture. He can see beyond. God Bless You

Let it go !

Hey friends, I got this message by Bishop T. D. Jakes by email. This has since blessed many. I thought I should share it with all. Here it is. Its titled, “Let it go

There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you
this! When people can walk away from you, let them walk.

I don’t want you to try to talk another person into staying with you,
loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying
attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.

When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left. The Bible said that, ‘they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us.’ [1 John 2:19]
People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not
joined to you, you can’t make them stay. Let them go. And it doesn’t mean
that they are bad people, it just means that their part in the story is
over. And you’ve got to know when people’s part in your story is over so
that you don’t keep trying to raise the dead. You’ve got to know when it’s
dead.

You’ve got to know when it’s over. Let me tell you something. I’ve got the
gift of good-bye. It’s the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.
It’s not that I’m hateful, it’s that I’m faithful, and I know whatever God
means for me to have He’ll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I
don’t need it. Stop begging people to stay. Let them go!
If you are holding on to something that doesn’t belong to you and was
never intended for your life, then you need to…LET IT GO!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains …LET IT GO!
If someone can’t treat you right, love you back, and see your worth…LET IT GO!
If someone has angered you … LET IT GO!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge. LET IT GO!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction … LET IT GO!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents… LET IT GO!

If you have a bad attitude…LET IT GO!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better… LET IT GO!
If you’re stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in
Him… LET IT GO!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship…LET IT
GO!
If you keep trying to help someone who won’t even try to help
themselves…LET IT GO!
If you’re feeling depressed and stressed…. LET IT GO!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling
yourself and God is saying, “take your hands off of it,” then you need to…
LET IT GO!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new
thing! LET IT GO!

Get right or get left, think about it, and then LET IT GO!
“The Battle is the Lord’s!”

PRAYING GENERATION - II (From the heavens oven)

Can I talk to my praying generation?
I feel like sharing something that God is personally teaching me.
Jesus was led by the Spirit! WOW!
Jesus was led to seek God! WOW!
In fact He fasted for 40 long days seeking God!
But guess what happened after that fast, it was only after that fast that He was tempted like never before!!!
Scripture says now not only was He led but He was empowered by the power of the Spirit. WOW!
And what happened after the 40 days of being set apart? Jesus was rejected in Nazareth!!!
This was His first conference after being led by the Spirit, His first conference after being empowered by the Spirit. He was facing controversy, questioning, and rejection! Does that mean He failed? ABSOLUTELY NOT! He was right in the will of God!
Some of us prayed, prayed specifically for some things to move in our lives and things that we didn’t expect happened. Maybe your visa got rejected, or was it a job that meant financial security or maybe it was a girl- the love of your life. You’ve been left with nothing but the same old temptations and the old rejections!
Rejected; yet Jesus was fulfilling His destiny in God! I wonder who I am talking to. I pray God would lead the right ones to read this blog! Because just when you are wondering what is happening with you in spite of all the prayer, all the fasting, God wants to speak to your spirit, mighty warrior do not cease, for the plans of God are unfolding just like I said in the previous blog! Continue to knock at the doors of heaven! There is Hope! You are going to see things what our previous generations have not seen!
Jesus while speaking in Nazareth, spoke something powerful that the praying generation has to hear, there were many widows in Nazareth yet Elijah was not sent to any of them but to a widow in Zarephath. And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet yet not one of them was cleansed - except to Naaman the Syrian. (Luke 4) Remember this is how it is going to be with us, just because we pay a price in the presence of God does not mean that a hundred things must happen. I want to be there ready and available when that one thing that God planned to happen through me! So when the rest of the 99 things that I wanted and people expected does not happen, my spirit shall not be upset but rejoice in the fact that I am still in the will of God. Therefore, my dear friends who are after the heart of God continue to seek God!
PURSUE GOD! Decide in your heart: whatever happens after that or whatever does not happen after that shall not touch my spirit! I will continue to be in the plan of God, fulfilling the destiny of God every minute no matter where I am!
We have peace with GOD.

At the pleasure of the Masters service,
Shyju

TO THE PRAYING GENERATION

You’ve been praying and fasting, seeking God but nothing dramatic has been happening. This at times is taking your spirit low! This is making you wonder if God is even listening. This is depressing you, making you even quit praying! But the Lord is pushing me to write this just for you! God wants you to know that your prayer is been heard and that even though you don’t see anything on the outside, things are happening within your spirit.
Have you ever studied the process of Incubation of an egg? Outwardly there is nothing happening, its size & shape remains the same from its formation, not even a millimeter grows on the shell. But from within that egg the process has already begun. Inside the egg grows beaks, wings for the bird to fly out, legs that they will eventually use to walk, eyes to see etc, etc. Can the human eyes see it- No! But that does not mean it is not happening. It develops slowly without outward or perceptible signs. & then once the process is fully complete it comes out. So it is with you and the Lord shall fulfill it in His time and will be lifted up through you!
Let no devil bring defeat and drop doubts into your spirit. Arise now from your hurt and pain, go back on your knees, under the shadow of the wings of your Creator and He will honor you in due time. Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit for the impossible to be conceived through her. And so every minute that Mary was under the shadow of the Holy Spirit so much more the baby grew within her. So is the same with you. God has planted seeds of destiny within you which will grow as you remain under the wings of the Almighty. Don’t quit! Arise now you mighty warrior, for the Lord has given you the kings and the city and the people of the city into your hands!!!

At the pleasure of the masters service,

Double portion!

As I write this, I’m taking a flight, looking forward to reaching Bangalore in a while to celebrate my 23rd birthday with my friends. And as I write this, I have just one thing on my mind that “God I want to walk a bit more closer to you!”
I’ve recently been hearing this well known spiritual term “double portion” quite a bit from men of God. I’ve been pondering on the same asking God to reveal more. This year more than any empowerment, I long for a portion of His presence more than anything else in my life!
Studying a bit about double portion in the Bible taught me some powerful truths that I’d like to share for those in this generation who are hungry for more of God! There has been much teaching about double portion from the story of Elijah and Elisha.
Elisha asked Elijah for his double portion of his anointing before he was taken up in the clouds. But if you allow the Holy Spirit, He’ll show you some amazing truths from their life. To keep the story short, the final barrier that Elisha had was the river Jordan, to which he positively replied that he wouldn’t be stopped but would continue walking with
the prophet! Jordan had different meanings at different times! At one time Jordan was a metaphor for trouble that Israelites could not cross. And also it is in this Jordan that Jesus obeyed the Father and got baptized under John. It was again at this same river Jordan that the heavens opened up! Is it not amazing that the same thing that is a problem to some can be a platform for the glory to be revealed for another!

As soon as Elisha asked for the double portion, even though the prophet accepted the fact that it was a difficult thing he didn’t say it was impossible! That’s a message by itself! He said if you can see me when I’m lifted up then you will catch this anointing! When the time came to Elijah to go, there was dust everywhere and strong wind blowing but Elisha forced his eyes wide open even with dust filling his eyes. He kept his eyes FIXED on the prophet!

Dear friends, that’s the same with us, for this generation to get into a double portion of the Spirit, keep a close watch with the Holy Spirit, have a close walk with the Spirit, a close talk, not just for a while but in a persistent and continued fashion through out the day!!! It’s difficult but not impossible. Like someone said, if one man can do it, another man can!
The message is short, simple, sweet and hot from the throne room of God as usual! “God is about to anoint someone in this generation to do what the previous generation has not done; someone who is ready to have their eyes, ears, heart and mind glued to the Holy Spirit throughout the day and night!”
I was praying for someone and the Holy Spirit told me that He had called that person for some detailed work and that required a committed heart in an undisturbed atmosphere. Sometimes we have a whole lot of things that we focus on that makes us loose the one thing that we are called to do!

My dear reader friends Will that someone be you??? If so what’s going to be your next step from this minute? yep! You’re right, glue it, glue it on the Holy Spirit, your eyes, ears, heart, mind and everything, through out the day and night!

Blessings of God’s double portion,
Shyju

Warning cry - Calling all Intercessors

Psalms 2: 8- Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.

15th December: I was in Mumbai with my team praying into the wee hours of the morning, when the LORD started moving and revealing things to me… I must pen them down as I believe that the Lord wants the body of Christ to intercede for the nations.

In my vision I saw a huge bomb blast; I am not sure whether it was India, but I strongly sense that churches in India must seek God intensely during this period. Then I saw tall high rise buildings (felt led in my spirit urgency to pray for America and United Kingdom)

The Lord asked us to pray from the 25th of December to the 2nd of January for God’s protection. Especially December 26th seemed to stand out as a special day to pray for.

This year the enemy has planned to bring terror through land, water and air, as the Lord started showing me a boat, then an aircraft too. Also the year 2009 will be a time of most unimaginable attacks ever in our history if the Church does not wake up to pray and intercede.

Meanwhile, the Lord told me that the year 2009 will be a year when God will expose hidden sin in the church and there will be great cleansing in the body of Christ. If we are humble and willing to go through this process of cleansing God will change and refine us for greater glory. As we prayed God showed me a vision of Jesus stretched on the cross completely stripped and then it was finished. The Lord told me that in the year 2009, that is what God wants to do with His body and that the work had already begun with some of them.

You may be asking: What do you mean brother? Let me explain- What happened on the cross? Jesus was stripped naked, exposed, and vulnerable pierced to the cross. That is the state we need to come to in our hearts as a body of Christ. We need to strip ourselves of every pride, ego and sin and come down emptied in our spirits for God to fill us more. In short; we all need to humble ourselves in the SIGHT OF GOD! God will test the body of Christ this year and the Church will be stretched to the maximum, but those who will remain faithful to the end will receive the crown. II Chronicles 16: 9 says, “For the eyes of the Lord runs to and fro through out the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him”

In the book of Exodus chapter 33, we read about a beautiful discourse between Moses and God where Moses reveals his deep desire to see Gods glory. God was ready to honor Moses request, why? The answer lies in verse 17 Moses had found grace in the eyes of the Lord!

However before God offered Moses a place beside him, God bought him to a cliff! 21And the LORD said, “Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock, 22and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by

It was on that cliff Moses was completely exposed to man and God, nothing to hide. Shaking with the fear of God, Moses approached God. This is what God wants from us too. So many of us are yet playing games with God and His people. We fail to be honest, genuine in our relationships, in our dealings with finances or our everyday affairs. We may hate someone but on their faces we call them angels! We gossip, slander, ridicule so freely that it makes me wonder if we have forgotten God’s real standards. God is returning the fear of God to His body and when people come open and clean into His presence, God is going to reveal His glory like never before. Let us stand corrected before God, allow Him to expose our filth, our wickedness, our dirty hearts so that we may be ready for a real glory experience. God is calling His people to be a HUMBLE GENERATION!

I hope this generation hears this and surrender like never before to God and we are about to experience unprecedented move of God in HIStory, coming from unrecorded repentance.

Servant for Christ,

Shyju Mathew

Lessons from Lakeland, J. Lee Grady

Another powerful post from my friend J. Lee Grady of Charisma, I believe that this generation must read and learn. It’s titled “20/20 Hindsight: What I Hope We Learned From the Lakeland Revival”

Click on the link above to take you there.
The summary of those lessons are:
Lesson #1: Accountability. Accountability. Accountability.
Lesson #2: The one-man show is over - focus on Jesus
Lesson #3: Chill out - not performance
Lesson #4: Character is more important than anointing.
Lesson #5: Lay hands on no man quickly.
Lesson #6: You can’t have revival without repentance.

Be blessed.
