Love Whispered!

Familiarity breeds contempt. True, isn’t it? More often than not, especially in relationships, when you know a person well, you can easily lose respect for that person or become careless in that situation. Consider a marriage relationship-it all starts off well, but over a period of time the enthusiasm and the love factor gradually seems to fade away. What happened? Well, life had just become too familiar and mechanical, thus leaving no room for the husband and wife to enjoy their relationship.

The same husband who would jump onto his feet to fetch a glass of water at the request of his newly married wife, now turns a deaf ear to her repeated calls.  It was not that he did not love his wife anymore, but now that they had seen each other so much, the romance seemed to have died, the red roses had faded, the candles from the dinners had melted. Something was missing – the FIRST love.

Do you realize that this human tendency in relationships of this world is also reflected in our relationship with God? We start to get ‘familiar’ with God. Our focus shifts from ‘how much we love God’ to a mechanical and ritualistic ‘ how much we do for God’; from how much we spend time with God, to how much we spend time with His people doing His work!

This call goes out to you. Are you getting used to God? Are you getting too familiar with Him? Are you too busy to simply sit at his feet and adore Him? Do you hear Him whisper a profound question into your ears: My child, do you love Me? Do you love Me the way you loved Me before?

I leave this post abrupt here with a hope that this will wake you up and bring a quickening in your spirit to dwell upon these questions.

Take a decision to fall in love madly, head-over-heels all over again with Jesus, your First Love.  And the key is to go back to the basics; to the starting point whether it is just weeping in His presence, gushing out words of love and adoration or just being still in true repentance. Soak in His presence; don’t be in a hurry to rush out for nothing and no one is more important than the LOVER OF YOUR SOUL. Return to your first love.

Have you compromised on your first love? What are the things that have come in between?

    Amazing word!

I heard a long back a author wrote ” The value of our lives is not in what we do or who we are , but who’s we are”

Keep the fire burning bro! Hope to meet you again!

    Hey Shyju…
    Praise Be to GOD….
Must say that this is indeed so trully and wonderfully written.
How many of us forget HIS love as we move on in life.
I too had done it many a times early in my life.
But ever since i have realised that men can fail u and GOD can never fail u,i know that there is only one true love in this world and its definitely God’s love.
I make it a point daily to let HIM know how much I love HIM.
He is definitely my Alpha and my Omega and my true lover…
And i owe my life to HIM only…..
Let the people of the world rekindle their lost love for GOD reading you message and also rekindle their lost love in their relationships….
May JESUS name be glorified in all d ways…
    Amen…..

First of all, I love this piece you’ve written here. I think its great that you chose to discuss this. I also think that if as you said – “What we must then realize is that this human tendency in relationships of this world is also reflected in our lifestyle with God!!!” then the opposite must be true. That if our relationship with God has remained as true and fresh as it was in the beginning, thjat will reflect in our relationship with our spouses or any relationship for that matter.
Thank you for giving me a chance to think.

Oh and I havent been to your blog in awhile.. this theme is fabulous! really great

    God bless ya!

    Hi Shyju,
Thanks a lot for sharing this message. Yesterday night at around 12:30 PMwhile I was reading this, I was really touched by God. I felt that at once I should knelt down at his presence and cry out to him. I did cry out to God and he filled me again with a fresh new annointing. I felt bad for i’ve lost my first love for God and asked forgiveness from him. He touched my life.

Thanks a lot for writing this..

Hi Shyju & guys reading this blog,
I remember when once I had written the similar kind of message to all my frends about …’Returning to the FIRST LOVE Who Loved us enough to give His Life & EVERYTHING FOR US!!’ It even might grieve the Holy SPIRIT when He realizes that we have forgotten how we Loved Him when we were FIRST introduced to Our Mighty Savior!…. ALL I could never forget in this blog would be …………God is whispering a profound question into your ears- “Do you love me? And if you do, how much do you love me? And if you do love me, do you love me like the way you loved me before? ”
Truly The Love of our Life whispers…!

Thanks Brother & May GOD Bless U Mightily!

God was and is and will always be awesome!!! I really can’t find the right words to say after reading this wonderful arcticle. It was like I was travelling back to the very first time that I told JESUS that I love Him and I will serve Him no matter what it takes. Now, am asking myself am I really inlove with him? or I just thought I love Him. Oh, God forgive me if I have failed and neglected you so many times. What is a man Lord that you are so mindul of him? and God said, my dear child.. it is because I have love you with an everlasting love. I love you morethan you ever know.

True enough, that we cannot phathom the depth of His love.

Bro. Shyju, I pray that all the people who will read this article will be blessed and be touched the way it has touched ours. And may God mightily use you for the days to come.
