Very true Brother Shyju. I see it happening these days. I work in call center and read Bible when I get up in night. Generally I keep alarm for 8 PM - but SOME HOW I will get up by 7 PM and then I will read Word and pray.

Hi Shyju, Very powerful thought. I too am guilty of keeping my Lord waiting. I too struggle with getting up in the morning and having that much needed devotional time. What I love about Jesus is when we surrender and obey, He really does not keep us long. He may be urging us to pray in intercession for someone else. I had an experience on Friday night, the eve of our prayer and praise breakfast. I had been going all day and all night and when I got to bed a little pass midnight, I was trying to salvage as much rest as I could before the 6 a.m. alarm. At about 3:30 a.m. the Spirit woke me up eyes wide open. I heard the voice say pray and I laid in my bed and muttered something for about 5 minutes and drifted back to sleep. No more than 15 -20 minutes later the Lord spoke and said "I know that you are tired but I need you to get up and pray". I obeyed and He allowed me to pray for the upcoming praise breakfast that was just a few hours away. The praise and pray breakfast was a success. I pray that I will be more sensative to the Spirit when he calls. Thank you for your transparency.

I just wanted to add an experience I had this year which proves that our efforts to justify ourselves as to why we are too busy and can't pray enough fall on deaf ears with God. I am expecting another child and during the first 3 months I had a very hard time, with one viral and one bacterial infection on top of pregnancy symptoms, so after I recovered I had a week of renewed physical energy. Since I was behind a lot with house work and many other things, I justified myself that I really can't spend much time in prayer, because I have other responsabilities to my family, etc and I should get at least more up to date.

Well, towards the end of the week I had a dream. In the dream, a man of God full of the Spirit of God, came and laid hands on me and spoke the words of God to me: You are saying in your heart: how can I pray when I have so much to do that awaits my attention (I have a 4 year old as well). Then God replied to that: BUT I want you to pray! And then warned me that if I didn't there will be consequences. Well, I got the message that no excuses, even things that seem reasonable to us, do not convince God, if He wants you to do something, you better just do it, and MAKE time for it, even if other things suffer. Needless to say,

I was up after this dream with a lot of fear of God on me and I went straight on my knees (at 2 am) and did not stop till 5.30 in the morning, when God said it is enough, as I did not want to live His presence anymore, it was so good!

It God draws you to prayer, JUST DO IT, no excuse will work with Him!

I remember another instance when I was running a business and in the middle of a very busy time with many clients waiting for a response from me, God told me: Stop and start praying for your grandfather to be saved. I prayed before for him many times and I felt it was rather inconvenient, and I sort of asked God: Now, Lord? meaning, I think the timing is rather inconvenient. Then He replied: Well, if you want to have his blood on your hands, don't do it! Well, that GOT my attention. I immediately dropped everything and went to pray. I had a heavy burden on me from God, I went with my face on the ground and really wept and wept for his soul and became really bold in asking God for his soul: I felt I was holding Him by His robe and I said: I will NOT let go till you give me his soul. After some time, I felt a release and started to rejoice in my spirit. I knew I had the answer. I then sent a pastor to my grandfather house, as he lives in a different country and my grandfather who was resistant to the Gospel before received Jesus super easy. He soon became sick and died in a few months, only after asking again for the prayer for salvation that I have sent him in a letter :-). Listen to God about praying, on your prayers can hinge the eternal destiny of someone who is close to death or even your own soul! Don't neglect the wisdom of God, HE KNOWS BETTER!

What really struck me is the "gentle stillness of the HolySpirit" which enable us to become a peculiar treasure for God if only we are ready to listen to His soft gentle voice apart from all our surrounding situations....
Thank you brother
