Living a Worry-Free Life!

worry whyEvery other day, I come across hundreds of people who are filled with anxiety and uneasiness because of the uncertainty of life. I decided to take time off to address it because this ‘worrying’ has not only the power to stop you from your future, but could also affect your relationships with one another and most importantly, hamper your walk with God.

Many people are constantly living in apprehension of one thing or another which takes away their peace. I have found that there are two basic reasons; anxiety about a potential problem or the uncertainty over actual present problems. These, in turn, overflow and course its way to a prayer-less life, depression, anger, wrong decision-making and even sometimes, bad health issues.

It was not too long ago that I faced my own realities and fear tried to creep in about many different situations. What I do is to try to calm my heart with what the word of God says about,                                                                                        Matthew 6: 34 So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Something, very important, that we need know about worry is that the only we can get through worry is by making up our mind with resolved determination to not worry. Read what Jesus said in Luke 21:14 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.’ In other words, if you don’t make up your mind not to worry, you might end up worrying again as usual.

What Jesus says is you have to be compel yourself not to worry. Jesus goes on to ask in Matthew 6:27 And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?’ In other words, we understand that to be is that by worrying we still do not arrive at the solution so what is the point of all that apprehension?

Every single time I find myself in a situation that seems to get my heart beating faster. I tell myself that there is no point worrying and I believe that since God cares for me, no matter how bad the situation may seem, at the end of the day or the year or my life, all things will work together for good! How I know that? Read 1 Peter 5:7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.’

Romans 8: 28 ‘And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.’ You must trust the Lord who is perfect. It might not seem like it is fair but God is just. Deuteronomy 32:4 says, He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He.’ So, let’s hide behind the Rock of all ages!

Now what you must do instead is replace your worry with thanksgiving to God for His ways are greater than our ways and His thoughts are greater than our thoughts and because all things WILL work together for good to those who love God. Remember the old saying? An empty mind is a devil’s workshop? So replace your worry with thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’ Nothing ends or begins without prayer! John 14: 27 says, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” So go to HIM our all in all!

So as my friend says, just CHILLAX (chill + relax)… Have pleasant, worry-free days!

QUESTION: How are you holding up?

“But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.” It’s an amazing insight. We can actually choose not to worry, while trusting that, all things will work together for good, because He cares for us.

its really hard trying not to worry especially so if its in your nature to do so.

I agree. I have experienced that myself sometimes. But Is 26:3 has been of great help to me. "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." Trusting him brings that peace. Blessings.
