Do Dogs Go to Heaven? – True Story!

Now look, he is sad!

Ok this is unbelievable that something like this can happen but it is true. Here’s an argument between two churches that a friend of mine forwarded me by email.

These two churches actually face each other across a busy street.

Is this not funny & ironically saddening at the same time? What do you have to say?

This is just one example of endless fights, both direct and indirect, seen and unseen, verbal and non-verbal, that goes on in our churches today. While these two churches fought about dogs going to heaven, there are some others who are fighting about who is bigger or more important. And still others who fight about who is more holier than the other.

I am yet to see anyone who has changed their heart because they lost an argument. I wonder when are we going to really grow up and focus on the dying souls instead.

We also need to remember that our bickering is not going to help us find the truth nor does serve as a good testimony to the world around us.

Do you think all this arguments is worthwhile? What are your thoughts? Have you tried to diffuse an argument & how did it go?

We need to stop fighting against each other. Our enemy is the devil we need to fight against him. But i feel the devil has caused so much division in the church that today we are fighting against each other for our doctorines, traditions and style of worship. While the devil is laughing we are bickering against each other. Its time the spell is broken in Jesus name. For no Kingdom divided against itself can survive….

Youre right Binsu… Win the arguement and lose the person. I’ve actually had arguements that I won and felt good about it but the person never came to the Lord.. Lessons to Learn!

HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA I’m putting this on Facebook!

But if you’re a Christian living in this world, debates/arguments are SURE to come. As soon as I smell that a debate is turning into an argument I offer to stop, if they don’t want to then I accept “defeat”. In the court, I’d argue but when it comes to everyday experiences I won’t. So many verses in Proverbs that speak about arguing…and the majority of them would compare you to a fool if you do…

Does your law education and debating mind try to overtake when it comes to spiritual discussions?

      • http://twitter.com/musiqchild007 Jherrel Peters

Used to happen…but as I matured it doesn’t anymore.

For the MOST, I would “switch it on” with perhaps older Christians who are looking to discover the truth about a particular theological question…OR simply out of boredom with a friend…(more falling on the latter). But in day-to-day experiences I don’t “argue a point” because intelligence can sometimes be interpreted more as arrogance than confidence. So I do more of the listening and try my best to make my points with little speaking as possible. Kinda like what Jesus did, whenever the Pharisees came to him, he never debated. But when he did replied to them he would confuse and bewilder them so much that they couldn’t respond – mainly because they didn’t know how to! That’s my goal in every spiritual discussion I wanna get to with believers/non-believers.

Btw, its recorded that the most ‘famous’ Christians were lawyers…starting all the way back to Moses… ;)

The only “Fight” that a Christian should be involved is, in the “FIGHT OF GOOD FAITH”. We focus on flesh, blood, arguments and lose out on the real deal. “Fight the good fight of faith”. Anything that you and I, can do and must do is “PRAY” for your enemies and bless them. NOW this is Christianity one on one. Face to face, face you enemy in the eye and say I love you in Jesus name. That’s God kind of faith and fight for this dying generation. Overcoming every evil with Good. Don’t know what I am saying here. The LOVE of GOD conquerors all odds.

Obviously these arguments are not worth it…while I was praying one day during our intercessory ministry, I uttered this one prayer that I believe is something that Jesus truly wants of us. Guess what it was…” Lord help us to look at every unsaved soul, every person as our brethren in Christ, regardless of what their religion may be, no matter what their nationality may be ….. Help us to come together as one body of Christ”

I feel what is lacking in our churches is the ability to look beyond a vision. One focuses on South Indians – Malayam service only. One focuses on only Africans and Filipinos. One will focus only on catholics. The day each one of us stops looking at our brethren as one sect of people ….we will have a better church and more souls added of the kingdom of God.

About an argument….I have a friend who is a Muslim, he once told me that Jesus was a prophet, and there is one who is greater than him who is yet to come. I told him that according to the Bible, Jesus is the saviour and he came on this earth and died for us. And he will come again…..

Not getting into more details, I told him its better we stop the conversation before there is a clash.

    Now that is funny. :)

If they would just use that same passion to talk to each other, then maybe they’ll be able to serve their community together…

Haha,..had a real good laugh seeing this,..but saddens me at the same time,..really true.
Many Churches still need to really wake up n keep it on with the real Gospel for the lost.

Stuff like this goes to show we have quite a way to go towards “bride readies herself”.we are all work in progress when it comes to becoming famous “for our love” and not “our opinions”(mine included lol -and that was no pun either )hahah

any topic to do with the body is dear to my heart :) .i believe there is a place for conflict, confrontation and difference of opinion .But,quite often the root causes are deeper than what symptoms like above show ,and we disqualify ourselves by the manner we choose to handle our differences.

I am in wonder of Jesus’s ability to walk in and out of all the religious and social circles of the day and yet not violate love ,even though he received flack from all ends including his disciples. We have the privilege of living out the same .

I believe ,the reason we see all that we see is because we are the anti-dote.the company we keep will no longer be necessarily based on what we believe or have in common but rather who we love .hoooorayyyy to “christ in us” .

    • Anonymous

Well said my brother! Let our love speak more louder than our opinions.

  • Nacha_joseph

fight until die… but God said “i don’t care what your thinking, i only care to the people who cares about what i’m thinking” human always says they r smart but God said “i know everything”. the answer for this matter is “human thinking”

it is true………. there is not papal approval of all this crap.whereby dogs go to heaven…….don’t u think i can’t make such a structure in my lawn ….write Protest Church on it and take a close up shot and publish it ? ……….. really ridiculous !

  • Soloscriptura

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment..For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified….Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? …..And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, [even] as unto babes in Christ…..For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?..For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ..

I agree with the person above. It’s not importent, we should be more concerned about lost souls. It’s probally a trick of the enamy to keep us preoccuped with nonimportent stuff.
