Did you know God wants you to experience a total turn around in life?
On the 3rd of June 2012, my daughter Kathryn completed three precious months of her arrival to our lives and this planet.
To make things more exciting than it already was, she did her first rollover to her tummy. We had been patiently anticipating this moment for a month already.
What Kathryn didn’t know was how to flip back from her tummy to her back. After a lot of trying, helpless, she began to cry for help. Soon, her Mommy came to her rescue and helped her back to her original position.
The whole process was so interesting to me that I began thinking of how we believers tend to be.
Sometimes we so desperately want that turnaround in life and we even manage to flip some things over only to realize that we are now stuck and don’t know how to undo it. Then we cry to God for more help who graciously helps us. We don’t stop with that, we keep struggling by ourselves in an attempt to turn around, hoping to make it big and quicker.
In some time, she tried it again and she was successful just to realise she didn’t know how to flip back. But what got more exciting was that it didn’t stop her from doing it over again. Not able to successfully flip back, again she began crying.
What a baby needs for that turnaround maneuver is a stronger neck and arm muscles. But have you thought about how often we want to get into a blessing that we are not ready for.
What God Wants
However, I found that with the help of a gentle push given by me Kathryn was able to complete that turnaround. This reminds me of God’s desire over us. He wants us to have that turnaround that we so badly want. He wants us to succeed. He wants us to have that blessing.
But what God also wants us is that we develop strong muscles that will help our heads stay in place once we’ve done that turn around.
Remember, new level means new devil.
New level has new temptations…
New level has new challenges…
New level has new enemies…
“I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave, though he is the owner of everything, but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father.” Galatians 4:1-2
It is true that all heaven’s blessings belongs to you but God also wants you to go through the process. That is why you should not let delay of a blessing take away your peace. Just because you don’t have it now doesn’t mean that it is not yours.
Yes, God wants you to go into the new level but He also wants you to develop those strong muscles that will help you to flee the next level temptations and resist the greater fightings of the devil.
In the New Level
In the new level today, don’t forget to stay humble, develop character, maintain a teachable spirit and most of all to never forget prayer and the love for the Word of God.
Also remember, no matter how much Kathryn struggles to flip around, we as parents will still be there to love her. Same goes with God, irrespective of your performance, God still loves you. He is not in love with your success, He is more bothered about your soul. He is the lover of your soul! Be blessed.
