About blog
These writings began with a thought from Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”
In advising his son, the wise King Solomon says that the heart above all is the most important to be guarded. Why? Because it is ‘the wellspring of life’. Everything else flows out of it.
Your heart is what keeps your body alive. It pumps blood through around 100,000 miles of arteries, veins, and capillaries. It brings life-giving nutrients to every cell and fibre. Your body can survive without many important organs. Many of these are important but not essential. However, it cannot survive without a heart.
Therefore your heart is the core of your being. It is important that we understand that more than our skills or knowledge our success begins with our heart. Some of the words from the Bible about the heart are:
“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” Matthew 5:8
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” Matthew 6:23
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things” Matthew 12:35
This blog has been birthed with the sole intention to encourage this generation to stay alert, by way of writing the things that God has deposited in his heart. We love to hear from you on each of these blogs.*
