To The Bleeding Mumbai

Around 1am last night i had a panicked filled sms from a dear friend of mine who was caught in the chaos that burst in the entertainment city of India. There has been no other incidents that has bought Mumbai to a stand still like this one.
While i write this more than 10 areas have been under terror out of which 3 are in the center of attention as the terrorist have taken hostages. It has been more than 24 hours now and the terror seems to be subsiding with the damage already done leaving a dent in the spirit and soul of India. More than 100 are dead out of which 14 are from the police force and 6 foreigners and one question that is now stirring in the hearts of every Indian is do we really have any security. Interview after interviews clearly show the anger of the people to the way that the government has handled this situation and it seems they have lost faith in our Government.

Love Whispered Series – III – The Silhouette of LOVE

Satan, the defeated foe, was still up to his old tricks doing what he knew the best- suffocating Peter with guilt from his past. With the ‘I’ve done it again, so its best not to get back’ thoughts dominating, fresh memories of broken dreams, the guilt of betraying innocent blood and the cock crowing still ringing in his ears, Peter rushes to the boat and picks up the oar and his fishing nets that he gave up when he had met Jesus.

Instead of simple repentance and returning back to the Lord, Peter is now sinking deeper and deeper into condemnation and self pity, trying to run away from his past.

Love Whispered Series- II – It’s Deliberate!

Jesus asked Peter, do you love me? If you love me take care of my sheep.

[John 21:16 Jesus repeated the question: "Simon son of John, do you love me?"
"Then take care of my sheep," Jesus said.]

The word CARE was born from the idea of interest, and the Oxford dictionary defines its verb form as: “to feel concerned or interest” or “feel affection or liking.”

This care or attention cannot be born out of a sense of duty , but the base necessarily has to be nothing else, but LOVE! Jesus directly connected love with care! For Peter to take care of Jesus’ sheep would mean to spend Peter’s money, time and energy on them. It was so obvious- if you love something, then you will spend time, money and energy on what you love.

One of the most daunting fears of life could be the fear of facing it- ‘AGAIN!’ It happened once, you thought it was over, you had dealt with it, but now looking behind your shoulder there it is again! The very thing that you lost your sleep over is now chasing you again. You dread it, your heart is beating faster, you are loosing your sleep, you loose you appetite, you get angry with everyone, the problem has not reached you yet but its already taking you down as you are asking God to take your life away!

A Happy Heart & an Angry Dog!

Sometime ago I heard a rumor someone tried to spread about me, and I was very disturbed, so much so that I thought about it over and over again. My mind was flooded with questions: Why me? What have i done? I don’t even know the parties involved!  And before I knew an hour had passed. By that time bitterness had also crept in my heart and consequently I started to get on the defensive mode while interacting with people.
