Developing the Prophetic Ear

I met this dear sister and her husband, Rev. Jack & Peggy Kennedy in Canada. From the time that I have been associated with Sister Peggy, I have enjoyed her level of spiritual sensitivity. I love learning from people and surely I would love to live with this sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. It is true that the prophetic is the most abused gift in the body of Christ, but when there is the original we must expect the counterfeits too. Is it not interesting that Apostle Paul encourages us to, “eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.” 1 Corinthians 14:1.

So I decide to shoot her an email that I could share with everyone on this blog to be blessed with. Here we go.

What is Your Cave?

|

We all go through things in life that at one point we have not been through before. Sometimes the pressure builds so much that you cannot take it any longer. This is a crucial place in life.

All people including generals of God, go through their own times of unbearable pressure. And during these times, the natural man’s natural reaction is to pull out or withdraw and hide in a cave that they build for themselves.

For example, some men find their cave in coffee shops, video games, zipping across town in a car till they get a speeding ticket, etc. With women? I am yet to find what caves they build. May be you know better if you have come across any. But we all have our own caves that we hide in. Continue Reading

His Everlasting Arms – Poem

I recently found this poem that I wrote in March 2007. Was blessed reading it myself. So I thought it was no harm to share.

The hardest of trouble,
is only like a bubble.
cos i’m leaning on His arms,
&enjoying His warmth.
When the ground gets shaky,
His hands are beneath me
When the world says no,
I stil hav a place to go.
To His everlasting arms,
That shaped the stars.
I am very safe there,
In His everlasting care.
He’ll wipe away my tears, Continue Reading

My Letter to Friends in Corporate

It was a joy to discover that there were many small fellowships that took place in different companies in Chennai. They desired for a revival of their hearts and took initiative to organize a combined meeting for all these fellowships that God might revive them. God did honour their faith by blessing the meeting with His mighty presence.

After which I was encouraged by their many letters on how God has been moving in their hearts igniting new passion for Him. Following which, I had the privilege to reply and address them through this letter hoping to fan to flames of what God has been doing among them.
After some thought, I desired that the letter should be made public that many more believers in the corporate segment should believe for an unprecedented move of God in our times. Please feel free to share this link with all your working friends.

Here it is: Continue Reading

A College Student & Revival!

In the year 1905 in Wales, revival was born in the heart of a college student. His name was Evan Roberts. He read and heard about some of the great revivals that had occurred in Wales and other places, and his heart was stirred with this subject of revival. He stated, “I could sit up all night to read or talk about revivals.” Hearing him pray for hours at a stretch, he was forced out of his rented room by his landlady thinking he might be dangerous and mad. Stewarding Your ONE Life – By Richard Chamberlain

This is a guest blog by Richard Chamberlain. You can follow him on twitter @rdcramblings

Most Christians spend their life focusing on trivialities – and by that I almost certainly mean YOU! I know many who spend more time watching tv than reading their Bible. They spend more time on Facebook than in prayer. They use more money on entertainment than they give to the work of God. If that is you enjoy it – your reward is going to be small in heaven.

Take a moment to think about your life, your ministry, your witness, your walk with God. Most of the time it looks like you want to impress men rather than impress God.

The Revival Inside YOU!

From time to time, God has ignited many hearts to think, read, preach and pray for revival and that has been the story for hundreds of years already. Yet, I believe that the real fire is yet to be released. A dear friend of mine, Sis. BeBe Rail from the U.S., often reminds me about how God is taking us to the centre of the fire and it is at the centre of the fire where it is the hottest!

No matter how dramatic and large the other revivals have been, I am absolutely certain that the best is yet to come and I strongly believe that it will happen in our generation. However, there are many lessons we can learn from our past revivals that have taken place across the globe.

Help me take this message to this generation:

Birthed in You!
We always closely connect revival with masses but the truth is that masses need not necessarily mean revival. Let’s face the truth; God has always used one person for the move of God. Continue Reading
