Tent Of Meeting
Tent of Meeting(TOM) is where young and senior leaders together, take time off away from all the distractions of the world to learn, seek, pursue and soak in God. The focus is to linger a little longer in the presence of God, creating a fresh appetite for more of God even after they return to their homes.
TOM is a direct result of confirmed direction from the Holy Spirit to the SMMinistries to mentor the next generation leaders. TOM is short for Tent Of Meeting named by God’s own man Moses from the Old Testament. It was a tent pitched far away from the camp where Israelites stayed. After 4 successful batches and lives changed, we are eager to take in the next batch of seekers. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to join us as we together learn and live a lifestyle of pursuing God.
TOM in the Bible
The scripture says in Exodus 33: 11, “Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.” At TOM we teach these same principles. To be still, soak & sustain in the presence of God. TOM is here to equip these present generation leaders with the one essential requirement that God seeks in His ministers - to be in His presence and seek His face, teaching leaders to puruse God.
How TOM works?
Once the participants have been scanned and selected, we seclude ourselves ideally for 3 days from the everyday ties and soak ourselves in the presence of God with intense prayers and deep worship. The place that we choose would be ideally a quiet resort far away from the main city. At the same time, essential topics on God's leadership principles are taught in the most practical way, e.g. how to handle pressure, how to manage Gods accounts, relationships etc. by various leaders.
Requirements of TOM?
1) While in the Tent of Meeting we prefer no use of mobile phones, the cells phones will be in a switched off mode through out.
2) Age limit below 30 yrs for TOM 'youth' sessions.
3) Must be involved in Ministry.
4) TOM is a time for all to seek God, we do not encourage any participant to minister at this time unless directed.
5) Should have an open and teachable spirit.
6) Willingness to stay away from distractions and discipline self to spend long hours in prayer and worship.
7) Committed to attend all the days.
